Booking Terms & Conditions
UJourneys · The Magic of Uzbekistan · 22 September – 1 October 2026
Last updated 27 July 2026
1. Making a reservation
A reservation request is made by completing the booking form on this website. Submitting the form does not create a confirmed booking.
Your reservation is confirmed only when we have received both:
- full payment of the tour price for every traveler in your party, and
- a clear copy of the photo page of each traveler's passport.
We will confirm your booking by email. Until you receive that confirmation, your place is held but not secured.
We reserve the right to decline any reservation at our discretion.
2. Pricing and what it includes
The tour price is $2,895.00 per person, in U.S. dollars, based on two people sharing a double room.
A single room is available for a supplement of $630.00.
Solo travelers who wish to share may be paired with another traveler of the same gender. If no suitable share partner is available by the booking cutoff, the single supplement will apply, and we will contact you before charging it.
Included: personal meet-and-greet on arrival with airport–hotel transfers on arrival and departure days; nine nights in carefully selected 4-star accommodations with daily breakfast; reserved seating aboard the Afrosiyob high-speed train from Bukhara to Tashkent; an expert English-speaking guide on every touring day; all entrance fees to monuments, museums and sites in the itinerary; all lunches and dinners at carefully selected restaurants; a modern air-conditioned private coach throughout; and bottled mineral water on every touring day.
Not included: international airfare; meals not specified in the itinerary; travel insurance and personal medical expenses; visa fees where applicable; items of a personal nature; and gratuities.
Prices are guaranteed once your booking is confirmed.
3. Payment
Full payment is due at the time of booking. There is no deposit. We accept credit and debit cards, bank transfer (ACH), check, and wire transfer.
Payments by check must be received and cleared by 14 August 2026. Payments by ACH must be initiated by 1 September 2026 to allow time to clear; after that date we can accept card payment only.
Any bank or wire fees charged by your own bank are your responsibility and are not part of the tour price.
4. Passports, visas and entry requirements
Every traveler must hold a passport valid until at least 1 April 2027 — six months beyond our return date.
Day 6 of the itinerary crosses into Tajikistan and returns to Uzbekistan the same day. You must carry your passport that day, and you are responsible for meeting the entry requirements of both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan for your nationality.
Entry requirements vary by nationality and change without notice. We will gladly advise on current requirements, but it is your responsibility to ensure your travel documents are in order. We cannot accept liability, and no refund is payable, if you are denied boarding or entry because of inadequate documentation.
5. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should be arranged at the time of booking.
Your policy should include trip cancellation and interruption, emergency medical treatment and evacuation, and baggage cover. Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are not covered by U.S. domestic health insurance, and medical evacuation from a remote area is extremely expensive without cover.
We are not able to make refunds outside the schedule in Section 6, regardless of the reason for cancellation. Insurance exists precisely to cover circumstances this policy cannot.
6. Cancellation by you
Cancellations must be made in writing to hello@ujourneys.com and take effect on the date we receive them.
Because this journey departs on 22 September 2026, the following schedule applies:
Cancelling on or before 8 August 2026 — full refund, less a $300 per person administrative fee.
Cancelling between 9 and 23 August 2026 — 50% of the tour price is refunded.
Cancelling between 24 August and 7 September 2026 — 25% of the tour price is refunded.
Cancelling from 8 September 2026 onward — no refund is payable.
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 business days.
The single supplement, once charged, is non-refundable from 23 August 2026.
Name changes. A traveler may be replaced by another person up to 1 September 2026, subject to a $150 administrative fee and to the replacement traveler meeting all entry requirements. Name changes are not possible after that date.
No refund is payable for any unused portion of the journey, including missed meals, excursions, accommodation or transfers, or for a late arrival or early departure.
7. Cancellation or changes by us
This journey requires a minimum number of travelers to operate. If that minimum is not met, we will notify you no later than 23 August 2026 and offer either a full refund of all money paid, or a transfer to an alternative UJourneys departure.
We may make minor changes to the itinerary — the order of sites, the choice of restaurant, a substituted hotel of equivalent standard — where circumstances require. Hotels are as named or similar.
If we make a significant change before departure, you may accept the change, transfer to an alternative journey, or cancel for a full refund.
We are not liable for any additional costs you incur as a result of a cancellation or change, including non-refundable airfare. This is a further reason to arrange travel insurance at the time of booking.
8. Health, fitness and suitability
This journey involves a good deal of walking, frequently on cobbled and uneven surfaces in Samarkand and Bukhara, and includes a gentle guided walk of approximately 2 km at an elevation of 2,400 meters on Day 6. Some days are long, and travel between cities is by road.
You should be in good general health and able to walk unaided for extended periods. Please tell us at the time of booking about any medical condition, mobility limitation, dietary requirement or allergy so that we can advise whether the journey is suitable and make arrangements where possible.
We reserve the right to decline a booking, or to require a traveler to leave the journey, where in our reasonable judgment their participation presents a risk to themselves or to others. No refund is payable in that event.
9. Our responsibility and limits of liability
UJourneys arranges and delivers this journey together with carefully selected local partners.
We accept responsibility for arranging the services described in the itinerary with reasonable care and skill.
We are not liable for loss, injury, damage, delay or expense arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, severe weather, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, terrorism, epidemic or pandemic, government action, border closure, industrial action, airline schedule changes or cancellations, or the acts or omissions of independent third parties such as airlines and hotels.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us for the journey.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
10. Where we can accept bookings
We are not currently able to accept reservations from residents of California, Florida, Washington, Hawaii or Iowa. We expect this to change and are glad to add you to our list in the meantime.
11. Photography
We may take photographs and video during the journey for use in our marketing materials. If you would prefer not to appear in them, simply tell us — before departure or at any point during the journey — and we will make sure of it.
12. Your information
We collect your personal details, including passport information, only to arrange and deliver your journey. We share what is necessary with our local partners, hotels and transport providers for that purpose, and with nobody else. We do not sell your information. Passport data is deleted once your journey is complete.
13. Complaints
If something is not right, tell your guide or call us on +1 (832) 347-7000 while you are traveling, so that we have the chance to put it right there and then. If a matter remains unresolved, write to hello@ujourneys.com within 30 days of your return.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
